Currently, two designation programs are offered - the Associate Compliance Professional (ACP) and the Certified Compliance Professional (CCP). These programs are recognized within the industry as a hallmark of professionalism, technical knowledge, and regulatory expertise. Both the ACP and CCP designations and the CE program recognize individuals who show a dedication to ongoing education in their respective concentrations.
You may select to follow either a health, life/annuity, or property/casualty concentration. All three concentrations include coursework you have completed in insurance and regulatory compliance, contract analysis/development, insurance perspectives, ethics, insurance operations, and other areas within the insurance industry.
Program requirements include courses offered by the industry's known educational institutions such as: Life Office Management Association (LOMA), America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP); The Institutes (formerly American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (AICPCU); Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society (IRES);The American College; International Claim Association (ICA); Society of Financial Examiners (SOFE); National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC); and others.
The requirements and the application are located on the Certifications/Designations link under the Career Center tab. The procedure is easy and the one-time, until April 1st, entry fee is $30. After April 1st, the fee structure changes. It will be a $30 processing fee for a submitted ACP application and a $30 processing fee for a submitted CCP application. If you meet both the ACP and CCP requirements you can submit both applications together for a discounted processing fee of $50.
Once you have your CCP designation, you qualify for the CE certification program. The requirements and application are also found under the Certifications/Designations link.
